Heath

A Postmodern Tribute –

The most personal of my work so far, Heath translates a traditional art form into my wine sculpture form.

Using the name ‘Heath’ to conceal that she was only a woman,  my grandmother, Dorothy Francis Heath Anderson, became celebrated for her magazine covers.

As ‘Dorothy Anderson’, my grandmother wouldn’t have had a chance as an artist.

I have combined one of Heath Anderson’s traditional illustrations  (Sunset Magazine in 1933) with my own work to engender a postmodern tribute to the ongoing battle for women’s equality.
